Week 2 of our Wolves Academy Development Camp came to a close with another fantastic run of morning sessions at Britannia Soccer Park. Led by Wolverhampton Wanderers FC Academy coaches Joe Hunt, Ryan Griffiths, and Cody Harper, the players were challenged, inspired, and developed over five days of focused training in the Houston heat.
Each morning brought new opportunities for players to grow their technical ability, tactical understanding, and overall confidence — all while experiencing coaching methods used at one of England’s top academies.

☀️ What Players Worked On
Throughout the week, the morning sessions were built around fast-paced, purposeful training. Players focused on:
Close control and advanced ball mastery
Positional awareness and quick decision-making
Finishing techniques in tight spaces
Defensive shape and pressure recovery
Confidence in 1v1 attacking and defending
The Wolves Academy staff ensured that every session had intensity, structure, and meaningful coaching points — helping players push past comfort zones and elevate their game.
🏅 Certificates, Photos & Recognition
The final morning wrapped up with a closing ceremony, where each camper received a personalized certificate and posed for photos with the Wolves coaching staff — a lasting memory of a week filled with hard work and development.

A huge congratulations to Daniel S., who was named Most Improved Player for Week 2 mornings. His effort, coachability, and visible growth throughout the week truly stood out. We’d also like to extend a special thank you to Bret Walter, Chief Advancement Officer at Westlake Lutheran Academy, who joined us on the final day to help present the award and celebrate the players’ achievements.
