Houston Wolves Academy Camp Week 2 Evening Recap: Evening Excellence

The Week 2 Evening sessions marked the conclusion of our 2025 Wolves Academy Development Camp — a two-week experience that brought Premier League–level coaching to Houston through our partnership with Wolverhampton Wanderers FC Academy. Across morning and evening sessions, players were immersed in high-level training that focused on technique, decision-making, and personal growth — all delivered by Wolves Academy coaches Joe Hunt, Ryan Griffiths, and Cody Harper.
The final week’s evening sessions served as a powerful finish to the program. Held under the lights at Britannia Soccer Park, players brought energy, effort, and intensity, applying everything they had learned across both weeks and showing clear development from day one to the final whistle.
🔥 Evening Session Highlights
Throughout Week 2 evenings, players were challenged to apply their technical and tactical growth in dynamic, game-like settings. Each session focused on:
Advanced ball control and decision-making under pressure
Tactical movement and quick combinations in tight spaces
Transition play and finishing in real-time scenarios
Communication and team defending
Leadership and composure in competitive environments
Every activity reflected the same standards and structure used at the Wolves Academy in England, giving our players a truly elite-level experience.
🏅 Certificates, Photos & Recognition
The final evening concluded with a celebratory awards ceremony. Each camper received a personalized certificate and took photos with the Wolves coaching staff — a meaningful way to celebrate the growth and hard work shown all week.
A huge congratulations to Ayden F., who was named Most Improved Player for Week 2 evening camp. His growth throughout the week truly stood out. We’d also like to extend a special thank you to Bret Walter, Chief Advancement Officer at Westlake Lutheran Academy, who joined us on the final day to help present the award and celebrate the players’ achievements.
